MQ2 Gas Sensor Module

The MQ2 gas sensor is a versatile and widely used sensor for detecting gases like LPG, propane, methane, hydrogen, alcohol, smoke, and carbon monoxide. It operates on a metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) principle, where gas presence alters the resistance of its tin dioxide (SnO₂) sensing layer, generating an analog voltage output. The MQ2 sensor is ideal for air quality monitoring, fire detection, and gas leakage detection. It operates at 5V, has a fast response time, and offers high sensitivity. Commonly used with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and microcontrollers, it provides both analog and digital outputs, making it easy to integrate.
